Pure CBD vs Full Spectrum CBD

There are an abundance of CBD products currently on the market. Often times you may see ‘Full Spectrum’ sold along with ‘Pure’ CBD oil. One of the most obvious differences you will see is pricing. Full Spectrum tends to be cheaper. Both oils are made from the same hemp plant but there are differences. Let’s jump into those differences.

With pure CBD oil the only cannabinoid present is CBD. So what’s a cannabinoid? It’s a chemical component of the plant. CBD and THC are the commonly known two but there are close to 400 present in the hemp plant. In pure CBD oil, there is only one-CBD. It also has NO THC present. Pure CBD oil is clear and flavorless. It’s also derived from pure CBD Isolate (Isolate basically means that the CBD component is completely isolated from the other cannabinoids).

Full Spectrum CBD oil differs from Pure CBD in a few ways. One way is that it is derived from the stalks and stems hemp plant. By extracting it in this way, the oil will have many other cannabinoids present including THC. the percentage of THC is extremely low at 0.3%. It wont cause you to be high and it’s still legal in all 50 states. Full Spectrum CBD oil is also darker in color. Full Spectrum also comes in flavors.

These differences do not make one better than the other. Both are taken for different reasons. For example, if you want the full benefits of the hemp plant and all the cannabinoids Full Spectrum would be your option. Keep in mind that THC is still present in a small dose. If you prefer to use CBD oil without THC present then Pure CBD oil is the best option.

So which is more effective?

Through research, Full Spectrum has shown to be more effective because it contains more cannabinoids which has different effects on the body. So it provides an overall healing. Pure CBD will only provide the benefits of CBD alone. Pure CBD is usually preferred by those with a concern of failing drug screens due to the low THC percentage present.

Which is best for you?

The only way to know is to try. See how you feel using both. Full Spectrum is more affordable and what is sold most often. So consider your budget as well. Weigh the pros and cons to determine which would be most beneficial for you.
